Diagnostic Assessment
The diagnostic assessment evaluates the learner’s current proficiency in AS-level English skills, including reading comprehension, language analysis, writing structure, vocabulary use, and exam readiness. Phase 2 focuses on teaching learners how writers use language to create meaning and effect. Emphasis is placed on using appropriate terminology, selecting relevant quotations, and explaining effects concisely in line with Cambridge AS assessment objectives.
