The Statement of Changes in Equity tracks the movement between your opening and closing equity balances. The Structure Think of it as a grid: Rows: Show the movements (Profit, Dividends, Share Issues, Transfers). Columns: Show the equity components (Share Capital, Share Premium, Retained Earnings, Reserves). Key Movements Additions: Profit for the year, issue of new shares, revaluation surpluses. Deductions: Dividends paid, transfers out of reserves. Quick Rule: Equity at the end of the year must equal: Opening Equity + Profit - Dividends + New Issues + Reserve Adjustments.
