CHEMISTRY
IGCSE Chemistry in Combined Science covers the basics of atomic structure, elements, compounds and mixtures, as well as bonding (ionic and covalent) and the periodic table. Students learn about chemical reactions including acids, bases, metals, rates of reaction and energy changes, along with simple calculations such as relative formula mass and basic mole concepts. The course also includes electrolysis, redox, organic chemistry (simple hydrocarbons and polymers), and a strong emphasis on practical skills like planning experiments and interpreting results.

PHYSICS
IGCSE Physics in Combined Science covers the core principles of motion, forces and energy, including speed, graphs, Newton’s Laws and energy transfers. Students also learn thermal physics (particle model and heat transfer), waves (light, sound and the electromagnetic spectrum), electricity and magnetism (circuits, power, electromagnets), and basic atomic physics (radioactivity and atomic structure). There is a strong focus on practical skills such as planning experiments, analysing data and drawing graphs.
